Pro Semi-Isolastic 5006

Surface Preparation

  • The cement-based surfaces of structures in contact with water must be solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and level.

  • The surface must be thoroughly cleaned from any oil, grease, rust, and paraffin residues that could weaken adhesion, and should have no loose particles.

  • Iron and wooden wedges on the surface must be removed, active water leaks and resulting cavities must be filled with Plugging Mortar or PROEDİT 5045 Repair Mortar, and chamfers with a radius of at least 4 cm must be made on corners and edges.

  • The application surface must be thoroughly wetted and left until it reaches a wet/dry condition.

  • If the coating material loses its water immediately and takes on a dull appearance during application, it indicates that the surface is not wetted sufficiently or is drying too fast.

  • In such cases, when the weather is hot or materials are exposed to wind, up to 7% water relative to component B can be added into the mixed material solely for the first coat.

Application

  • The 5006/2K PRO İZOLASYON UV mixture is applied in two or three coats using a Thoro brush.

  • The direction of the brush application in each coat must be perpendicular to the previous one.

  • The waiting time between coats varies depending on environmental conditions.

  • For reinforcement with 5006/2K PRO İZOLASYON UV waterproofing mesh, the first coat is applied with a Thoro brush.

  • Following the drying of the first coat, the mesh is laid, and the second and third coats are applied over it.

  • It is a fully flexible water insulation and concrete protection mortar that is resistant to positive and negative water pressure and has super UV resistance.

Advantages

  • It is elastic, does not shrink, does not crack, and is UV-resistant.

  • It provides secure applications in the waterproofing of terrace roofs that will not be covered under light load.

  • It is easily applied on horizontal and vertical surfaces with a brush, roller, trowel, or spray machine.

  • It provides seamless and jointless waterproofing.

  • It provides high-performance water impermeability.

  • It is water vapor permeable, allowing the concrete to breathe.

  • It is non-toxic and ideal for drinking water tanks.

  • Thanks to its flexibility and high adhesion property, it forms an excellent insulation layer under ceramic and screed.

  • It protects concrete surfaces from carbonation and chloride.

Areas of Use

  • Indoors and outdoors, in vertical and horizontal applications.

  • On terraces (provided the gray color application is protected on top).

  • White color must be used in places open to UV.

  • In soft water (between pH 3 and pH 7) storage pools used in the textile industry.

  • In water tanks and Olympic swimming pools.

  • In elevator pits.

  • In wet areas such as WC, bathrooms, kitchens, and balconies.

  • As part of a foundation waterproofing system, in areas sensitive to movement, vibration, and minor settlements.

  • In protecting concrete against water, carbonation, and de-icing salts.

  • Used in facilities such as thermal springs and Turkish baths.
