Pro Liquid 5003

Surface Preparation

  • The surface to be applied must be dry and clean; it must be freed from dust, dirt, rust, and oil, and loose parts must be scraped off.

  • Sharp edges and areas prone to cracking, such as horizontal/vertical joint places, should be rounded by making chamfers using ProEdit 5045 repair mortar or chamfer tape.

  • Large pores and cracks must be filled with ProEdit 5045 K repair mortar.

Application

  • ProLiquid 5003 is applied only to the side of the application area that contacts water.

  • It is ready to use and can be applied directly with a brush, roller, squeegee (gelberi), or unpressurized sprayers without requiring heating or thinning.

  • Application must be done in at least two coats.

  • To ensure strong adhesion, rid the surface of dust, and extend the lifespan of the application, ProPrimer 5002 must be used as a primer on non-metal surfaces, and ProLiquid 5003 on metal surfaces.

  • Although ProPrimer 5002 dries in a short time like about 2 hours, in cases where multiple coats will be applied, one day must be waited between coats.

  • In cases where higher pressure resistance is desired, it can be reinforced with carriers such as glass veil, felt, mesh, or isolation cloth to achieve a perfect result.

  • On roofs that are continuously exposed to open weather conditions and are not walked on, an Aluminum pigment-additive is applied on top after the material is applied, providing protection from the sun and an aesthetic appearance.

  • ProLiquid 5003 is a ready-to-use elastomeric liquid membrane with bitumen-rubber additives and solvent base, used against water and moisture.

  • After the solvent in its structure evaporates, it adheres strongly to the surface it is applied to and forms a water-resistant, elastic film layer.

Advantages

  • It is easy to apply and ready to use.

  • It creates a seamless and continuous insulation layer.

  • It is elastic.

  • It can be applied cold; it does not require heating or thinning.

  • It dries quickly.

  • It can be used in areas where pressurized water resistance is required, with carriers such as geotextile felt and mesh.

Areas of Use

  • On foundations against ground moisture and leaks.

  • On retaining and shear walls, galleries, drainage, and foundation piles.

  • On terrace roofs, balconies, water channels and hidden gutters, bridges, and viaducts, provided that they remain under a coating and are protected.

  • Used for external insulation of pools against water and moisture.
