Surface Preparation
-
Clean the floor to be applied from loose parts, oil, and other chemicals, and repair surface irregularities using repair mortar.
-
For a healthy application, it is recommended to use Modew Bitumen Emulsion as a primer on the application surface.
-
All expansion and moving joints must first be filled with an elastomeric joint sealant.
Application
-
Modew Super Elastic Liquid Membrane is homogenized using a suitable mixer.
-
It is applied to the previously prepared surface using a roller, brush, or low-pressure sprayers.
-
Although the drying time is as short as approximately 2 hours, a waiting period of one day between coats should be observed in multi-coat applications.
-
Excellent results are achieved by reinforcing with carriers such as glass tulle, felt, mesh, or insulation fabric when resistance to higher pressures is desired.
-
Application must be carried out in at least two coats.
-
Cellulosic thinner or gasoline can be used in cases where thinning is required depending on ambient conditions.
