  • Service Taking Time: 24 hours.

  • Consumption (Double-Sided): Average $3-5\text{ kg/m}^2$.

Surface Preparation

  • Care must be taken to ensure that the application surface is solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and also level.

  • The surface must be thoroughly cleaned from any oil, grease, rust, and paraffin residues that would weaken adhesion, and there should be no loose particles on the surface.

  • Defective surfaces with a depth of 5 to 20 mm must be repaired with Termatect Repair Mortars two days in advance.

  • If the temperature of the application surface is above $+25^{\circ}\text{C}$, the surface must be dampened.

Application

  • A $1\text{ mm}$ thick layer of PROFLEX 5010 is applied to the application surface using the flat side of the trowel.

  • PROFLEX 5010 is pulled in a single direction with the notched side of the trowel to achieve a uniform thickness over an area that can be covered within the 30-minute open time.

  • When bonding ceramics or granites of different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply a $1\text{ mm}$ thick layer of mortar under each ceramic or granite to cover irregularities on the application surface.

  • While placing the ceramics or granites into position, the ceramic or granite is floated within the mortar to ensure complete contact with PROFLEX 5010.

  • The application is completed by leaving the recommended joint spacing according to the appropriate ceramic or granite size.

  • PROFUGA 5020 Joint Fillers should be used to fill the left joint spaces.

  • Grouting of the joints can be started after approximately 24 hours.
