Surface Preparation
-
Care must be taken to ensure that the application surface is solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and level.
-
The surface must be thoroughly cleaned from any oil, grease, rust, and paraffin residues that would weaken adhesion, and there should be no loose particles on the surface.
-
Defective surfaces with a depth of 5 to 20 mm must be repaired with ProEdit 5045 Repair Mortars two days in advance.
-
If the temperature of the application surface is above $+25^{\circ}\text{C}$, the surface must be dampened.
Application
-
A $1\text{ mm}$ thick layer of PROGRANİT 5015 is applied to the application surface using the flat side of the trowel.
-
PROGRANİT 5015 is pulled in a single direction with the notched side of the trowel to achieve a uniform thickness over an area that can be covered within the 20-minute open time.
-
When bonding ceramics or granites of different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply a $1\text{ mm}$ thick layer of mortar under each ceramic or granite to cover irregularities on the application surface.
-
While placing the ceramics or granites into position, the ceramic or granite is floated within the mortar to ensure complete contact with PROGRANİT 5015.
-
The application is completed by leaving the recommended joint spacing according to the appropriate ceramic or granite size.
