Surface Preparation

• The surface must be dry, clean, sound, and freed from dust; oil, dirt, or materials that prevent adhesion must be cleaned from the surface, and substances like mortar and cement residues must be scraped off. The repair of surface defects deeper than 2 cm should be done with MODEW Repair Mortar 24 hours before application. In cases where structural repair mortar is required, PROEDİT 5045 Repair Mortar must be used.

Application

• If there are unevennesses on the surface, PROFİRE 5040 is applied continuously along the four edges of the thermal insulation board and as three dabs in the middle of the board. Care must be taken to prevent the adhesive from overflowing onto the board edges. If the surface is very flat, application can be made with a $10 \times 10$ notched trowel using the PROFİRE 5040 combing method on the back of the board. Care should be taken not to let PROFİRE 5040 form a film layer on the surface during application. Insulation boards glued with PROFİRE 5040 should be dowelled at least 24 hours later, followed by plaster application on the boards with MODEW ETICS Plaster.
