  • Service Taking Time: 8 – 24 hours.

  • Consumption (Double-Sided): Average $4\text{ kg/m}^2$.

Surface Preparation

  • Care must be taken to ensure that the application surface is solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free, clean, and also level.

  • The surface must be thoroughly cleaned from any oil, grease, rust, and paraffin residues that would weaken adhesion, and there should be no loose particles on the surface.

  • Defective surfaces with a depth of 5 to 20 mm must be repaired with modew Repair Mortars two days in advance.

  • If the temperature of the application surface is above $+25^{\circ}\text{C}$, the surface must be dampened.

  • On gypsum-based surfaces, high-absorbency gypsum drywall, gypsum-plaster, aerated concrete, lime plaster, and chipboard, modew Primer is applied; bonding can proceed 5 minutes after primer application.

  • For wood chip-based surfaces (OSB and chipboards), chipboards must contain a maximum of %10 moisture; chipboards applied to floors must be minimum $25\text{ mm}$, and those applied to walls must be $19\text{ mm}$.

  • Boards must be screwed to the surface at $30\text{ cm}$ intervals, and joint connections should be at least $8\text{ mm}$ wide.

  • Grooves should be opened at the joining points of the chips and filled with Joint Filler Mastic.

  • Wood chipboards should be primed with WALLBOND 5001 Primer in dry environments, or applied as two coats with mesh reinforcement using Full Flexible Waterproofing Material if the boards are in places exposed to moisture (exterior facades).

Application

  • A $1\text{ mm}$ thick layer of 5050 PRO MERMER is applied to the application surface using the flat side of the trowel.

  • 1013 5050 PRO MERMER is pulled in a single direction with the notched side of the trowel to achieve a uniform thickness over an area that can be covered within the 30-minute open time.

  • When bonding ceramics or granites of different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply a $1\text{ mm}$ thick layer of mortar under each ceramic or granite to cover irregularities on the application surface.

  • While placing the ceramics or granites into position, 5050 PRO MERMER is floated within the mortar to ensure they make complete contact.

  • The application is completed by leaving the recommended joint spacing according to the appropriate ceramic or granite size.

  • FUGA SİL 5020 Joint Fillers should be used to fill the left joint spaces.

  • Grouting of the joints can be started after approximately 24 hours.

Category:
